How do you feel when you receive a compliment? If you’re like me, more often than not, you cringe. Why? Because they’re seeing something wonderful that you’ve failed to recognize. But after years of self-deprecation, I’m learning to see “through the eyes of others” and be grateful for what they recognized in me that I didn’t know existed.
How do you handle compliments? Especially when they don’t resonate. I‘d love to know.

Compliments are sometimes the hardest words to hear, yet can also be the most healing. You are so correct that we need to graciously accept compliments, and then seriously consider that the person making the compliment is correct! Thank you, Jackie, for some wonderful & thoughtful musings.
