As the only girl in a family of four kids, I learned early to do things on my own and became fiercely independent. But as time marched on, I found this to be a detriment at times. We’re not meant to walk this earth alone. We’re meant to help one another, and accept help as well. How much easier would my life have been if I just asked when I needed assistance.
When have you sat isolated, besides with COVID19, where your life could have been better with just a little help?

Like you, dear one, family members are not always the ones we can ask for help. So, we create our “second” family with friends and lovers. Those we get to choose, and they choose us in kind. I’ll be here for you if you ever need it.xo
And, I’m always here for you too! Love you, girlfriend.
Love this Jackie!
We all need help sometimes, but as strong women it feels like we shouldn’t and that it makes us weak. It is a gift we give to others to allow them to help from time to time. It strengthens the bonds and creates more shared and beloved experiences together.
Always here for you even when we are separated my miles and COVID-19.
Love seeing your sweet face! We connect in so many ways but I guess the biggest disappointment of reaching out to my blood family is being rejected because I did trust them for that reason. They took, but wouldn’t give. So, my lifeline has been my husband and friends that are from the creative side and understand how my soul replenishes and when I do ask for reinforcements, it isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s me saying “I need someone!” Caretakers need to be refueled too and not just admired from afar. Good words, Jackie!
