What has this pandemic made you give up? And, in the end, was it really that important in the first place? When we come out of this mess, our lives are about to change, but maybe that won’t all bad. Maybe it’s time we got rid of the fluff and focused on what’s real.

Ah, thanks Sheri! While I loved having my nails done, I was never relaxed. I antsy in the chair wanting it all over. Well, it is now, I’m loving having that extra time back!
Love this! I feel like so many of us are just taking things slowly and allowing the moments to sink in. I too find I love watching the birds – really watching them. I can’t wait to hear about the next book!
After retirement, I indulged in visiting a nail salon. Not for vanity but to protect very thin nail beds. As my powder lifted and revealed the same thin beds, I looked forward to getting them protected. But, my soul is charged by being social and that has been my hardest challenge. Traveling, diving, underwater photography rebuilds my creativity and ah-ha sighs. Although I’ve taken advantage of the shut-down with research for another book, the ah-ha juices are running on reserve. An daily ritual of sitting on the back porch, watching the birds flitter to the feeders before sunset is my new friend. Even my cat, Hollywood, looks forward to it. Thanks for making me think!
Hey Jackie!
As always, I love your perspective. As I look down on my clipped nail that have been professionally made to look beautiful for over 15 years, I am also grateful that I can type much more accurately and don’t keep scheduling that next appointment in the Bay Area,
Thank you for your words of wisdom and gratitude-focused perspective through these unusual times. I too am looking at ways that we NEVER go back to normal. We can be better because of all of this. I am believing that the universe provided us with this GIANT time out so we can think about who we are and what we have done. I am determined to learn my lessons!!
Much love and appreciation!
Sheri
